Learn what makes a great picture POP! In Digital Photography I, we will start from ground zero and cover basic camera functions, composition, the principles of light, and archiving. We will also cover basic photographic tools such as tripods, filters, flashes etc. This class is designed for those new to the photography world or those wanting to improve their photography without getting too technical. Owning a digital camera prior to taking this course and having basic computer skills are highly recommended.

Flash photography can be intimidating at first and is sometimes avoided because of the initial obstacles. We will show you basic camera and flash settings to make your indoor and outdoor portraits. The workshop will discuss the basic principles of light and show the way to stunning portraiture lighting with simple equipment such as small battery powered strobes and lightweight accessories.
