Over the course of 12 days, we’ll explore the legendary Serengeti Plains, and traverse the diverse habitats of Tarangire National Park. Expect to photograph vast herds of elephants, prides of lions, cheetahs on the hunt, and—if timing aligns—the Great Migration in motion. Early morning and late afternoon game drives in our vehicles designed specifically for wildlife photography ensure a variety of photography angles in optimal lighting conditions, while expert guides and photography instructors provide personalized support to help you elevate your skills and come away with a portfolio of powerful images. Rare Planet Expeditions specializes in small groups focused on photography. Our fleet of Land Rovers are designed specifically for safari photography with huge open sides and roof, low angle shooting positions, bean bags and charging stations for each photographer. We limit each vehicle to no more than three photographers to maximize space for photography and gear. Each safari is designed for six to eight participants which allows for a flexible schedule to maximize time in the field and 1:1 instruction. Our hand-picked guides are proficient in placing you in the best possible location for that image you have always dreamed. In between safari drives, enjoy the comfort of incredible lodges and well-appointed tented camps offering warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, beautiful sundowners and opportunities to review and edit your work in inspiring surroundings.

Leader Bio:
James Bokovoy is a photographer based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, known for his work in travel, event, nature and wildlife photography. His Instagram bio describes him as a "Jesus follower, husband, father, world wanderer, explorer, photography instructor, and artist”. He spent the first six years of his life in Ethiopia, developing a love for travel, Africa, adventure and photography. He developed a love for the outdoors and photography at a young age, spending more time outdoors exploring nature than in front of the T.V. National Geographic and Life magazines around his home stoked his sense of adventure and deepened his love of photography. His photographer father further encouraged his interest in photography, eventually gifting him a Nikon F3T so he would leave his cameras alone. For the last forty years James has pursued his photography passion, personally and professionally. Since 2008, James has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Asia and South America exploring and photographing. More recently he formed Rare Planet Expeditions, a travel photography workshop company, focused on sharing this amazing planet with other photographers. Currently, Rare Planet Expeditions has trip offers to India, think Tigers & Leopards, and Africa, home to the Big Five. Returns Policy
Orders over $99.00 will receive free FedEx Ground shipping (typically 2-3 business day shipping) in the contiguous (lower- 48) United States. In stock orders placed after 1:00pm CST on weekdays will not ship until the next business day. Orders submitted online before 1:00pm CST, Monday - Friday will be processed that same day. though, this does not guarantee that your order will ship that same day. Orders are subject to verification and sometimes require additional information from the cardholder. These precautions are made with the card holder's interests in mind. We will attempt to reach the cardholder for up to five (5) working days after the order has initially gone through our verification department. After the allowed time, and if we are not able to verify the credit cardholders information, we will cancel and refund the pending order. Orders placed after 1:00pm CST Fridays will not ship until the following Monday. The $99 order total is calculated after all rebates and bundle discounts have been applied. Gift cards, duties, and taxes do not count towards the $99 order total. Our free shipping is available for orders completed using our online cart only, items ordered in store or by phone (approved by Bedford Executive Team members only) will not qualify for free shipping.
Your satisfaction is our number one priority. purchases made online will be gladly refunded or exchanged within 14 days of purchase with the exception of special orders, opened computer software. For your peace of mind and protection, bulbs, paper, inks and film may not be returned. Returned products are required to be in brand-new condition and must include the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, plastic bags and the blank warranty cards. also, please include the original receipt with the product. Any items not meeting these requirements will be subject to a minimum of a 15% restocking fee at our discretion. As a convenience to you, any eligible online purchase may be returned to any Bedford Camera & Video location but for credit for the transaction will be issued in the form of the original payment method.
