Tamron introduces the 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD, a full-frame lens with a versatile zoom for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It has an f/2.8 maximum aperture which has a consistent brightness across its zoom range while having better control over its depth of field. It has Extra low dispersion (XLD) and low dispersion (LD) elements which help reduce chromatic aberrations and improve the color accuracy of your images. These elements also have the Broad-Band Anti-Reflection (BBAR) Coating to suppress internal reflections and lessen lens flare and ghosting, giving you better clarity, contrast, and color fidelity, especially when shooting under strong light conditions. The Tamron 17-28mm has the smooth and ultra-quiet Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive (RXD) autofocus motor that is essential for both capturing stills and shooting video. The Tamron lens has a minimum object distance of only 7.5-inches, which makes applying soft blurs to your shots easier and allows for better close-up shots. The Model A046 offers a fast F/2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range and delivers high-resolution and contrast edge to edge. The combination of ultra-wide-angle focal length, fast constant F/2.8 aperture and Minimum Object Distance of 7.5 in at the wide-angle end encourages richly expressive and creative photography in a multitude of scenarios. The Model A046's AF drive system is powered by the RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit, enabling it to deliver high-speed, high-precision and superbly quiet operation suitable for shooting video as well as still photographs.

Orders over $99.00 will receive free FedEx Ground shipping (typically 2-3 business day shipping) in the contiguous (lower- 48) United States. In stock orders placed after 1:00pm CST on weekdays will not ship until the next business day. Orders submitted online before 1:00pm CST, Monday - Friday will be processed that same day. though, this does not guarantee that your order will ship that same day. Orders are subject to verification and sometimes require additional information from the cardholder. These precautions are made with the card holder's interests in mind. We will attempt to reach the cardholder for up to five (5) working days after the order has initially gone through our verification department. After the allowed time, and if we are not able to verify the credit cardholders information, we will cancel and refund the pending order. Orders placed after 1:00pm CST Fridays will not ship until the following Monday. The $99 order total is calculated after all rebates and bundle discounts have been applied. Gift cards, duties, and taxes do not count towards the $99 order total.
