The Saramonic SR-VM4 is an AA-powered on-camera shotgun microphone that delivers detailed, full-frequency, broadcast-quality sound for a remarkable price. It features a supercardioid polar pattern that provides focused directionality and excellent off-axis rejection of audio from sides and rear with a full-sized 5.5 x 0.9” (140 x 23mm) interference tube. Making the SR-VM4 capable of reproducing the wider frequency response of a professional XLR shotgun microphone, but with 3.5mm output and at a small fraction of the price.
High-Quality Sound and Control
The SR-VM4 features a useful array of audio controls that allow users to tailor the mic’s sound and performance to easily get optimum sound. It features a 3-stage gain control with a +20dB boost switch for achieving ultra-clean gain on cameras with noisy preamps, 0dB for high-quality preamps, and -10dB pad for cleanly capturing loud sounds without distortion. A 75Hz high-pass filter eliminates low-frequency noise and rumble caused by HVAC systems, wind or footsteps that can ruin a recording. It also features up-to 720-hours of runtime with high-quality AA batteries and a power-on/low battery LED indicator.

Featuring a full-sized interference tube, the SR-VM4 is designed to deliver the wider frequency response, detailed sound and off-axis rejection of a professional XLR shotgun microphone, but at the price of an entry-level mini-shotgun microphone. An ideal choice for DSLR, Mirrorless and Video Cameras shooters who need the sound and performance of real shotgun microphone. Built with durable ABS construction, the SR-VM4 is rugged enough to survive the demanding world of video production, but at less than 5oz, it is extremely lightweight.

Whether you are filming indoors in at home or in a studio, or outdoors on the street or on a beach, the SR-VM4 is ready for film anywhere, anytime. Both a foam windscreen and a furry windshield are included. Allowing you to film with confidence wherever your run-and-gun adventures may take you without the need to purchase additional wind protection. An integrated shock mount isolates it from unwanted vibration noise when in motion and includes a camera-shoe mount with metal 1/4”-20 thread. Allowing you to easily mount it to cameras, boom poles, stands, camera cages and tripods with ease.
Versatile Optional Connectivity Expansions
The SR-VM4 comes with an integrated short 3.5mm TRS output cable, but you can also easily pair it with Saramonic’s numerous optional adapter cables or adapters (sold separately). Ideal to use with pro cameras or mixers, smartphones, computers, tablets and much more. Pair it with a C-XLR adapter for professional cameras, recorder or mixers with XLR. Add a SR-C2003 cable for USB-C mobile devices and computers, a SR-UC201 for TRRS mobile devices and computers, or a SR-25C35 adapter for 2.5mm input cameras and recorders. You can also add the SR-C2500 (8.2’) or the SR-C5000 (16.4’) extension cable for boom pole and stand use. The flexibility and the options for the SR-VM4 don’t stop with just the short 3.5mm cable.

Orders over $99.00 will receive free FedEx Ground shipping (typically 2-3 business day shipping) in the contiguous (lower- 48) United States. In stock orders placed after 1:00pm CST on weekdays will not ship until the next business day. Orders submitted online before 1:00pm CST, Monday - Friday will be processed that same day. though, this does not guarantee that your order will ship that same day. Orders are subject to verification and sometimes require additional information from the cardholder. These precautions are made with the card holder's interests in mind. We will attempt to reach the cardholder for up to five (5) working days after the order has initially gone through our verification department. After the allowed time, and if we are not able to verify the credit cardholders information, we will cancel and refund the pending order. Orders placed after 1:00pm CST Fridays will not ship until the following Monday. The $99 order total is calculated after all rebates and bundle discounts have been applied. Gift cards, duties, and taxes do not count towards the $99 order total.
