Description
Great photographs aren’t finished when you press the shutter. Come with Images, leave with Photographs
Beyond the Capture: The Art of the Edit is an immersive three-day, three-night post-processing workshop created for photographers who want to move beyond simply knowing what the editing tools do - and begin understanding how to use them with purpose.
Date: October 7-10, 2027
Location: St. Crispin’s Event Center, 36302 OK-9, Wewoka, OK
Tickets: $2,350.00 per person
For three full days, we’ll step away from the field and concentrate entirely on the digital darkroom. Through hands-on instruction, real-world demonstrations, and individual guidance, we’ll explore the techniques and workflows we use at 319 Photography to turn strong captures into polished, compelling finished photographs.
We’ll dive deep into Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, along with Topaz and other powerful editing tools, working through complete post-processing workflows for landscape, wildlife, night photography, and more. We’ll cover everything from building a clean, efficient foundation to more advanced techniques involving selections and masking, luminosity, color, contrast, sharpening, noise reduction, blending, local adjustments, and creative finishing.
But this workshop isn’t about memorizing a collection of tricks.
It’s about learning to see the finished image and developing the skills to get there.
We’ll discuss not only how to make an adjustment, but why we make it. When should you push an image further? When should you pull it back? How do you guide the viewer’s eye? How do you create depth and atmosphere without making an image feel over-processed? And, perhaps most importantly, how do you develop a workflow and editing style that feels like your own?
YOUR IMAGES. YOUR WORKFLOW. YOUR NEXT LEVEL.
Unlike the editing sessions incorporated into our destination and field workshops, Beyond the Capture is devoted entirely to post-processing. There are no sunrise shoots to race toward and no late-night Milky Way sessions competing for classroom time. For three days, editing is the workshop.
Bring your own photographs - whether they were captured during a recent 319 Photography workshop, on an adventure years ago, or somewhere close to home. Throughout the workshop, you’ll have opportunities to work directly on your images while receiving guidance from our instructors.
This isn't a workshop where you simply sit in the back of a room and watch someone else edit - you’ll be editing.
We’ll work alongside you, answer questions, troubleshoot problems, demonstrate different approaches, and help you understand how to make stronger decisions throughout the entire post-processing process. Our goal is for you to leave not only with better finished photographs, but with a deeper understanding of why they are better - and the ability to repeat that process when you return home.
What's Included:
- Three full days of immersive, hands-on post-processing instruction
- Three nights of lodging at St. Crispin’s Event Center
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the workshop
- Instruction covering Lightroom, Photoshop, Topaz, and additional editing tools
- Landscape, wildlife, and night photography workflows
- Advanced masking, selections, blending, color, contrast, sharpening, and finishing techniques
- Individual assistance and feedback while working on your own photographs
- A relaxed environment built around learning, experimentation, questions, and creativity
Photography doesn't end with the capture. In many ways, that's where the creative process truly begins.
Beyond the Capture: The Art of the Edit is your opportunity to slow down, dig deeper into your images, strengthen your post-processing skills, and discover just how much potential has been sitting in your RAW files all along.

What is Grey Market?
Products that are imported and sold by anyone other than USA Authorized dealers are considered Grey Market products. These are often genuine products that were intended for other countries; therefore, they may not meet the manufacturer's specifications for US products or perform as expected, and they are not covered by a USA manufacture warranty or eligible for a USA repair service.
What are the differences as far as a customer is concerned?
In most cases, the main difference between a "USA" and a "Grey Market," or imported product is the cost of the item and the terms of the item’s warranty coverage. The products themselves are otherwise identical. As a rule, "Grey Market" items typically cost less than their USA counterparts. "Grey market" products never qualify for manufacturer's rebate programs and can not be price matched. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-333-4280.
